Dead Rising 4 itself is a video game with the best action ps4 games-adventure horror genre. The game developer itself is Capcom Vancouver and its publishing is managed by Microsoft Studios for the release of Microsoft Windows and Xbox One.
In the fourth series of Dead Rising, Frank West’s character is again shown with the main location in Willamette and with the theme of Christmas, Colorado. This video game was finally published throughout the world on December 6, 2016. Dead Rising 4 drew a lot of opinion from various critics, where praise was centered on the gameplay system and the return of Frank West’s character to the game.
However, there are some critics who claim that in Dead Rising 4, there are a number of deteriorated qualities as well as some technical issues that become problematic. In March 2017, Capcom published Microsoft Windows version of Dead Rising 4 for Steam. Meanwhile, the PS 4 version, namely Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package, was launched on December 5, 2017.
The Next Dead Rising 4 Review, Its Storyline
If we talk about video games, there will always be a storyline or plot that is the center point. This storyline will provide the logic of the story, as well as help players find their purpose. In Dead Rising 4, the story begins with Frank West’s character who is convinced by his students to carry out an investigation into the military compound.
As a college professor interested in observation, of course his student’s words made him tick. They finally went to investigate a military compound located in the suburb of Willamette, Colorado. In this area, there are some of the first zombie outbreaks. When they entered the complex, they immediately found out that the complex was being used to research zombies. Frank was immediately declared a fugitive upon entering the area.
Four months later, Frank finally met Brad Park who was from the ZDC agency. Brad convinces Frank to help himself investigate the new zombie outbreak in Willamette on Black Friday. Brad says that in return, Frank can clear his bad name and can keep the story exclusively.
Frank and Brad are immediately attacked upon their arrival at Willamette, forcing them to land by force in the middle of a shopping center frenzy. They are forced to deal with zombies which make them infected with a new virus. Long story short, Frank finally managed to find an organization called Obscuris to conduct a search for Calder, a creepy creature. There, he also meets his student, Vick, who turns out to be on a different side. Frank then explores the scientist’s laboratory there, and it turns out that the scientist is currently developing zombies with human intelligence as a whole.
Finally, Frank decided to carry out a raid on Obscuris headquarters. However, apparently the head of the organization, Fontana, said that Obscuris was not responsible for the outbreak. In the midst of the debate, Calder came and killed Fontana. Frank rescues several survivors of the confrontation, then takes the disk and transfers the data from Calder.
However, suddenly Vick came and asked Frank to hand over the disc with a gun threat. Vick runs away after taking the disc and Frank chases after it, but Calder breaks the disc. After the battle, they reconcile and return to the helicopter with Brad. Unfortunately, on the way, zombies chase after them, wherein Brad and Vick manage to get into the helicopter but Frank is caught by zombies on board, so they are unable to escape.
After he failed to board the helicopter and was half eaten by zombies, an experimental wasp found Frank infected. This makes Frank transform into zombie evo, where he has new abilities such as roaring, pouncing, and spitting acid. With this new ability, Frank finally starts eating humans and zombies.
At the center of the mall, Frank is taken to the lab of Obscuris scientists, where he is healed to regain control of his own body with the power he lost. The scientist who is treating Frank is Blackburne and he tells Frank about the military plans in the Willamette bombing. So, what needs to be done to survive is to board a helicopter that is devoted to evacuation.
Long story short, Blackburne and Frank work together, where Frank will regain his strength. Frank returns to human form and flees with Blackburne via helicopter.

Let’s see the Dead Rising 4 review based on the gameplay
As previously mentioned, the video game Dead Rising 4 is a survival game with the main focus on exploring the environment around the player while fighting hordes of terrible zombies that will interfere with their exploration.
In Dead Rising 4, the control design shows that the controls run more streamlined, accompanied by a separate button, between the buttons to shoot and the button to carry out attacks at close range. Existing items you can pick up and convert into weapons, even some items that you find can produce higher efficiency than others.
You can climb higher levels with an experience-based scoring system, namely Prestige Points. In this game, there is also a camera that can help find clues during the gamers’ mission.
In each zone, there will be a number of houses that are protected from zombie attacks. This house can be used to be an opening in doing nearby missions. The house can be leveled up by completing side missions. Through this side mission, if you successfully complete it, then you can get more items to buy.
In this game, your threat is not only zombies. You, as Frank, will also face a number of soldiers with terrible guns and rifles. Slightly different from the previous series, this series does not display the timing system.
Next, We’re Gonna Know Dead Rising 4 by Its Development
The original plan, Dead Rising 4 was developed to be a reboot of the Dead Rising series. This plan was drawn up in 2014, when the Dead Rising series was being developed at Capcom Vancouver in collaboration with Microsoft. Initially, this game was intended to be an exclusive Xbox One game, which was inspired by The Last of Us. The original game was canceled by Capcom Japan in 2014. As a result, the project had to start all over again using Frank West as the main character in this video game.
Then, in 2016, to be precise in January, there was an announcement from Capcom Vancouver. They stated that they were doing a new open world project. The announcement of the game was made during the Microsoft E3 2016 conference with a trailer and gameplay that lasted a total of 12 minutes.
In this series, Frank West is no longer voiced by Terence J. Roboto. In contrast, the voice of Frank West was played by Ty Olsson. The consideration was, they wanted to get an older look at Frank.

Receptions of Dead Rising 4
There are a number of receptions obtained by Dead Rising 4, and they usually vary widely. This is possible, because different parties have their own preferences. At Metacritic, Dead Rising 4 received an average review. Meanwhile, IGN itself actually likes Dead Rising 4, where they like the new Frank West, and there is a set using an atmosphere of Christmas consumerism.
IGN believes that with Dead Rising 4, Capcom is able to balance absurdity and games with intelligence and feelings. Unfortunately, IGN commented on the too simple safehouse.
On the other hand, critics praised the well-given gameplay. They say Capcom delivers fresh innovation and the best action in zombie games. However, GamesRadar stated that this game was too boring, had no peak conflicts, and had too many goals that were repeated.
In fact, as of April 2017, Dead Rising 4 sold under a million copies. This number is far from Capcom’s expectation that there will be two million copies. Even so, Dead Rising 4 still deserves to be your recommendation for playing ps4 zombie games.
